A New Way to Track Golf Trends: Pinterest
When it comes to golf, where do you go to find out what’s hot or not? Do you click over to GolfDigest.com, GolfWorld.com, or GolfWeek.com? Or is GolfChannel.com one of your favorite bookmarks? While these websites continue to be great resources for getting the scoop on what’s happening in the world of golf, some golfers are now heading to an online landmark heavily visited by foodies, brides-to-be, and crafters.
The website is called Pinterest–pronounced Pin-trist–and it’s an über-visual, bulletin-board-style social network through which users can create and share image collections based around certain themes, hobbies, or interests. “Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web,” the website explains. “You can browse pinboards created by other people… a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.”
Since golf is a very visual sport, golfers are increasingly using Pinterest to track the latest trends in golf clothing and equipment, assemble golf destination wishlists, and share funny and inspirational quotes about the greatest game ever played. If you’re not at work and don’t have somewhere to be in a few minutes, go ahead and click here to check it out. While it’s fun, it can definitely be a time-waster if you’re not careful; don’t say we didn’t warn you! And by the way, while you’re there, why not download the toolbar and pin our golf course’s website? Please and thank you!
