Why to Join Garden of the Gods Club During the Winter
The winter season is a special time here at Garden of the Gods Club in Colorado Springs. As fall gives way to wintry days, Garden of the Gods Club Members can look forward to a buzzing social calendar, opportunities to stay fit and healthy, sunny and crisp days on the golf course, and much more. Keep reading to get an idea of how Garden of the Gods Club Members enjoy the winter season here at the Club–and learn why now is a great time to join!
Lively Holiday Events Make Family Memories
Garden of the Gods Club’s full holiday events calendar is full of opportunities to build memories with family and friends. “Garden of the Gods Club Members look forward to continuing family traditions and making memories at holiday events like a Charles Dickens candlelight dinner, gingerbread house decorating, and more,” Tracey Kalata, director of membership, said.
As the year winds down, Garden of the Gods Club Members and their friends and families enjoy events like our elaborate Thanksgiving Day buffet, family holiday brunch, Teddy Bear Tea, a gourmet Christmas Eve dinner, and more. “Each year, the family holiday buffet is very well attended,” Kim Medeiros, dining room manager, said. “Every year, the children look forward to seeing Santa, and it’s always fun to see how much they’ve grown since the previous year,” she continued. “The Charles Dickens candlelight dinner is also a very special event,” Kim explained. “Members enjoy the spirit of the season with a candlelit dinner, carolers, and elaborate decorations around the Club. It’s a fun time.” We invite you to take a peek into some fun moments from Garden of the Gods Club’s holiday events by looking through the photo album below. The Sports Club & Spa Enhance Well-Being
In addition to enjoying a full social calendar, Sports Members also stay energized during the busy holiday season. A variety of group fitness classes, including Nia, Zumba, cycling, and yoga, help keep fitness fresh, even during the cold winter months. For those who prefer working out solo, our Sports Club also features a row of cardio machines that overlook the gorgeous red rocks of Garden of the Gods Park.
“Staying healthy and balanced throughout the holiday season can be a challenge,” Lauralee Beerman, sports club manager, said. “The support of personal training or group fitness classes during this time goes a long way.” Taking time out of your busy holiday schedule to work out will help you tackle long holiday to-do lists and social gatherings with more energy and peace of mind. In addition, for those who enjoy tennis, our climate-controlled tennis palladium with two indoor courts provides the opportunity to enjoy the game throughout the cold winter months.
Members can also find peace of mind during the busy holiday season at our Spa & Salon. In addition to an outdoor heated pool, spa goers can enjoy massage therapy, a variety of body treatments, nail and hair care, and incredible amenities, including men’s and women’s steam rooms and a coed hot tub.
Golfers Enjoy the Game During the “Off-Season”
Garden of the Gods Club Members also have the opportunity to take advantage of milder winter days out on the golf course. Golfers can keep their games sharp during Colorado’s “off-season,” as our 27-hole golf course is open year-round. When they’re not outside enjoying the course, Golf Members have access to a wide variety of social/dining events, as well as the Sports Club and Spa.
If you are interested in becoming a Golf Member at Garden of the Gods Club, we invite you take advantage of this year’s winter golf membership program.
