Meet Garden of the Gods Club’s Assistant Tennis Professionals
This summer, Garden of the Gods Club welcomed two new tennis pros, Alec Filer and Ethan Folloh, to our team. The assistant pros will be working with USPTA-certified tennis professional Tom Van De Hey throughout the summer to provide valuable tennis instruction to you and your children. Read on to learn a little more about Alec and Ethan, and please stop by and say “hello” the next time you’re at the Club.
Alec Filer is a Colorado Springs native and a graduate of Colorado Springs Christian School. Even though this is his first year teaching, Alec has been playing tennis for ten years. He enjoys the start-stop nature of the sport as well as the competitive side. Outside of tennis, Alec volunteers at his church and helps to run club events at the at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Ethan Folloh is also a native of Colorado Springs and a graduate of Coronado High School. Ethan has been playing tennis for ten years, learning much of what he knows from Tom Van De Hey, our USPTA-certified tennis professional here at Garden of the Gods Club. Ethan was a four-year varsity tennis player in high school and senior captain of the Coronado tennis team. In the fall, Ethan plans to attend Colorado State University at Fort Collins to pursue a degree in Health and Exercise Science. This is his first year working as a tennis instructor at Garden of the Gods Club, and he loves every minute of it!
